Have you had the IKEA hot dogs? I think they're pretty close. (And only 3 kuai!)

Interesting... I only know the English and the Chinese, so there seemed to be a clear connection.

不辛苦!

A wise man once said to love what you do for a living, and you'll never have to work a day in your life. That's what I'm doing!

guilaoguy,

这 and 是 are definitely not interchangeable here. It's fine to ask a yes/no question using 是不是, and it's fine to ask a yes/no question using 吗, but you don't combine the two.

So all of these are correct:

你找死吗?

你是不是找死?

你这不是找死吗?

"Natural but comprehensible" can be a difficult balance to strike! I agree that they do a good job.

Hmmm, based on my own personal experiences, I'd say:

1. Beijing (the city)

2. The Great Wall (it's not really in Beijing, and it's awesome!)

3. Shanghai (the city)

4. Yangshuo

5. Hangzhou

Obviously, a very biased list. :) But there are good reasons for each of these!
