I noticed the tid-bits of inserted example sentences and sound effects. Although I'm ALWAYS happy to see the podcasts moving in the direction of open creativeness, I found this little chunk to be very much unCPOD like. My 2 fen.
Could you elaborate? unCPod-like how?

The Android app is a port of the iPhone app we developed last year; it wasn't an entirely new initiative.
The PlecoDict export funtionality is being developed with some other changes as I type this; expect it by the end of next week. Blog post on that coming!

To be honest, it does feel a bit harsh from time to time, but we're here to make good content, not bask in accolades all day long, so we can take the heat. We will keep moving forward, improving.

We were referring to pragmatics in the linguistic sense; perhaps this was not clear. This refers not to what words mean (semantics), not to the grammar we use (syntax), but rather what language we choose to use to get our meaning across. (Ken touched on this in a recent blog post.)
Anyway, I understand all your points.

We hear your criticism. One of the great things about the podcasting medium is how quickly it can change and adapt.
Jenny clearly stated at the beginning of the lesson that it was a lesson on pragmatics. It seems most of you would prefer more grammar, and we can certainly do that, but you can't really fault a show about pragmatics for being about pragmatics. (Qing Wen was always envisioned as a show that answers questions about language... this is frequently about grammar, but not always. Remember when it was about differences in vocabulary between mainland China and Taiwan? That was very well received.)
The Qing Wen team will continue to grow and to listen to your feedback, and we will be happy to make the show better suit your needs.

This is not a case of an "order from above" policy change. Qing Wen has always been aimed at the "Elementary-ish" crowd, sometimes going a bit higher or a bit lower. It went a bit lower too often recently. We will adjust.
