no, I am in the UK. I have an english version of windows which had problems. so i took it to a shop on the high street and the guy saved all my stuff and replaced windows. When I got home I realized that it cannot read hanzi. I know that there is a way of making the computer read hanzi. when i do that, it says insert the relevant windows disc, but I donot have the original windows disc anymore. - regards/

I raised this issue a few months ago but no one was able to help. So I will try again.

Windows was reinstalled on my computer but it now cannot read hanzi. (I get sqaure blocks). The computer tells me to install the disc which contains the asian languages but I don't have that disc. I also cannot go back to the guy who installed it as he is not around.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Anyone got any views or experience in relation to the new HSK test. I understand there are now 6 levels instead of 3. Does anyone know of textbooks related to the new test ?

I have just come across this podcast.

As someone who does business in china there is certainly some useful stuff in this lesson. I would however suggest some of it is a bit dated and comes across as a bit patronising now.

I would be interested to hear some other views.
