December 1, 2020 at 1:33 AMHello, this is a good question! 请问 means "may I ask...", and when we use this word in front of questions, we sometimes translate it into "Excuse me". For example, 请问你可以给我水吗? can be translated into "Excuse me, could you give me some water?" or "May I ask if you could give me some water?". No matter the translation, keep in mind that 请问 adds a level of politeness to the question you're proposing. 不好意思, on the other hand, is the equivalent of "excuse me", and it can be used as standalone sentences. 厕所 and 洗手间 both refer to "bathroom", and the latter sounds more polite. But that doesn't mean 厕所 sounds rude though! You can still use it in your everyday conversations, but in a formal context, saying 洗手间 would be your best option.

November 30, 2020 at 1:19 AMHi Xiaofeng, yes that's right! 杏仁奶 [xìng rén nǎi] is Chinese for almond milk. I believe nut milks are getting more and more popular in big cities in China, and Starbucks definitely has them!

November 28, 2020 at 4:37 PMHello, this is a very good question! 公共汽车 is the official name for "bus", and the abbreviations are different depending on the region. 公交车 is more commonly used in mainland China, and you would hear 公车 in Taiwan more often. Hope this clears it up!

November 27, 2020 at 1:06 AMHello, I'm sorry to hear that you want to switch to the old dashboard because it's too long to scroll to the bottom. May I suggest that you scale down your display in the browser so that you get to see more content in one page?

December 1, 2020 at 1:39 AMThank you for your feedback. This lesson is indeed on the more difficult side of upper-intermediate level and there're many words spoken in the lesson that were not included in the vocabulary section. This is why we tried to slow down the talking speed and pronounced them as clearly as possible so that learners can actually search for the words they don't know as a listening practice. But I understand your point and we'll keep working on balancing the level of vocabulary difficulty and the lesson level they are at.
