Sequence / Learning Path

I currently select lessons randomly based on a "as needed" basis. Is there a recommended sequence / path where each lesson would somehow build on the previous one. This would also help me (force me) into a more organized sequence rather than just pick & choose.

I think the lessons are intended to be universally applicable, so they can be experienced in any order. However there are certain sets you can add as a whole (a great one is the diary series in elementary, that I'm just finishing!) that build on content.
