Chinesepod quick review app to the rescue!

I'm so proud of myself! I was in a shoe shop begrudgingly preparing to part with too much money for some comfortable work shoes and there was a young chinese guy who wanted some size 6 shoes. But his english was pretty bad (like my chinese!) and they didn't have the ones he wanted in size 6. So the shop assistant was trying to say to him "would you like to order them?". So I pile right on in with my bad chinese (because I have no shame) but get stuck on how to say "to order". Out comes the ipod with the chinesepod quick review app, and I find 订货, and finally we manage a whole conversation where I explain he doesn't have to buy them if he doesn't like them when they are ordered. We all get our shoes and everyone's happy!
