Yeah, that's fine!
My Chinese is going to be terrible! I haven't used it in a long time (except to order 珍珠奶茶 in Vietnam).

I said last week that I might not be able to have our lesson on Friday...but I was wrong. So I'm ready the same time as always!

Since Chinesepod have an executive program demo class and I need to give lessons all the Mondays, I can't give you a lesson as the same time. Do you mind having our lessons at the same time one day after which is Tuesday for me. Is it OK? If not, other counselor will be your teacher in the future. I am very sorry for the inconvenience,

Will,
you can use hai2 shi4, it is ok. but the difference is ye3 shi4 is " and", so the former object and latter object are equal in the sentence. hai2 shi4 is " still", we always put it together with chu2 le(expect for/expect), such is 除了英语,我还会说日语, 除了老师,她还是一个医生。

Amanda老师,
I have a grammatical question for you. In this sentence:
当然,北京是中国的首都,也是中国的政治中心。
Why is it 也是 and not 还是? I thought haishi was used to indicate two features of one object and yeshi used to indicate two objects sharing the same feature.
Thanks!
