Shanghai Newbie Meet-up next Wednesday, 4th November

Dear Poddies,

We are very excited to annouce our first ever newbie meet-up next week. We want to invite you and your friends who are just starting to learn Chinese for a night of fun and rewarding experiences.

  • Date: Wednesday, 4th November 2009 (8:30pm -12 midnight)
  • Venue: Malone’s American Cafe & Bar (www.malones.com.cn)
  • Address: 3rd Floor, 255 TongRen Rd (between Nanjing Rd and Beijing Rd)
  • Cost: Free - complimentary finger food and discounted drinks

    • Ken, John and myself will be around to offer tips to newbies and more importantly hear what you have to say about learning Chinese.

    We will also give away a one-year ChinesePod premium subscription to a lucky Poddie.

    Wow! Sounds really good! Wish I could be there >.< A bit too far for me to travel >.< I might have to send my Dad alone on my behalf :P haha because he's going to Shanghai next week for work :D (lucky thing!) Oh well, maybe when I can get to Shanghai :D I'm coming next summer with my Chinese friend (she's taking me to Beijing, her home town, and then we're gonna go to Shanghai! ChinesePod HQ is definitely one of my stopping point! :D eeeek, can't wait for our trip! :D)

    Yeah, I just found that meet-up discussion, but thanks for the reply.  It's on January 20th.  Luckily I will just be coming back to Shanghai then after going to Tianjin to get the rest of the stuff I left there a year ago.  Been a lot of work moving into my new place in Shanghai.  Hope you can make it to the meet-up!
