April 24, 2009 at 12:49 PM posted in General DiscussionToday I needed to refresh my memory about suntan lotion. I know there is a lesson on that because I know the word "fang2 shai4 shuang1". However, when I put suntan lotion, sun, beach, protect, or even fang shai shuang in the "search lessons" or "search glossary" it comes up empty. Come on guys. This search engine has got to be better than this. What am I doing wrong?

April 24, 2009 at 01:08 PMHi weixiao, in addition to henning's suggestion, I've found another good way is to search the Glossary instead of Lessons (in the pull-down box).
I entered 晒 into the search box, selected Glossary and came up with the following example sentences. You can then click on the green arrow and it will take you to that sentence's lesson. I've had much better results searching the Glossary instead of the Lessons...and if you're just looking for example sentences, it's perfect.
Sample Sentences
(Sunscreen is there.)
(Do you have sunscreen here?)
(We don’t have the best sunscreen here.)
(Where has the best sunscreen?)
(I want the best sunscreen.)
(He doesn’t want this kind of sunscreen.)
(Do you want this kind of sunscreen?)
(This kind of sunscreen is the most expensive.)
(What kind of sunscreen do you have?)
(That kind of sunscreen is very bad.)
(This is not the kind of sunscreen I want.)
(What kind of sunscreen do you want?)
(Yes. Drink lots of water and protect yourself from the sun.)
(In the summer you need to use sun protection.)
(When you go to the beach you need to put on sun protection.)
(Do you have to use sun protection in the winter as well?)
(I'll take the clothes out on the balcony to dry in the sun.)
(That is the least expensive kind of sunscreen.)
(What kind of sunscreen is the best?)
(I don’t know what kind of sunscreen is the best.)
