Yesterday I learned about this saying 上有天堂下有苏杭 (or something similar to that).

Do you know any other interesting sayings that will teach you something or just entertain you?

我喜欢毛主席的一句话:

" 好好学习，天天向上 “

it means "good good study, day day up" ( Chinese-Eng lol)

Here are some 上下 related Chinese sayings. Maybe (C) is the most important one among them.

(A) 上梁不正下梁歪
(B) 上山容易下山难
(C) 上有政策下有对策
(D) 上知天文下知地理
(E) 比上不足比下有余
(F) 上司放个屁下属唱台戏

P/S. This is not a saying, but you would find a lot of history books titled 中国上下五千年 at a bookstore in China.
