花椒面?

Hello Poddies,

Can someone tell me a little bit more about "花椒面" hua1 jiao1 mian4? I (mistakenly) bought this in the supermarket and this herb or herbs smelled a little odd (like hasj).

Is this "Sichuan Pepper" mix for noodles or is it something else? I'm not sure how to use it. Maybe someone can shed some light on this :-). Thx!

花椒面（粉） is "Sichuan Pepper".
