This is an excellent iphone app: http://www.lexcycle.com/

There's lots of free books available through the online catalogue, no Chinese ones it seems though (except for Art of War in English), but you can import books from elsewhere.

Found this site: http://www.qidian.com/ which lets you download them in txt format but you lose any cover image and chapter marks, and title and author.

Found what seems to be a good Chinese ebook site: http://novel.isoshu.com/ but they're in stk format which can't be read by stanza.
