Of course, Manny. But neither fighter losses here, really. Both will take part in a historical boxing event and not to mention get a huge payday.

Speaking of Manny, lately everybody's been talking about the Pacquiao-De la Hoya match.
Just want to know, to whom are you guys rooting for?

Billm: There's an ongoing joke that the Philippines are only united (united as in united in religion; race;sex;whatever division) whenever there's a Pacquiao match.
Yes, Pacquiao helps a lot of people here in Pinas.:) When he won his fight against Barrera, I think... He gave out 20% of his winnings. PERSONALLY!:)

It's true. Manny is regarded as a hero back here. It has been said before -- whenever Manny fights, the streets are empty, the shops are closed, churches broadcast his fights on a big screen, rebels hold a ceasefire, crime is zero, and everyone are absolutely going nuts for every punch he throws.
For most of the Filipinos, he's one thing to be happy about amidst the government screw-ups, calamities and poverty.
Although we do a nationwide face-palm whenever he does an occasional stunt like becoming a singer, acting in movies, squandering his money, and running for public office. But as long as it's boxing, we're behind Manny all the way.

crisgee,
I missed the post fight stuff.
KG is amazingly consistent. Awesome rebounder.
Manny stepped up and put on a clinic.
My wife tells me Manny helps a lot of people in the Philippines. There is a deep interest in wanting him to win. People are cheering for him with every fiber of their body.
There's probably 100 million Filipinos routing for him everytime he steps into the ring. If you include, oversea's workers and converted citizens this might be conservative.

Bill, did you see the footage of the Boston Celtics taking a photo op with Manny in the dressing room? They were cheering like they won the championship! hehe
Manny and KG were interviewed together and as it turns out, Manny is a huge KG fan. The P4P king said "it was a dream come true" to have his picture taken with KG!
You wouldn't think he just won the Lightweight Championship with the way he giggled like a little boy back there!

The result was never in doubt. Pacman made 1-5 odds look like a good bet.
