Dajia hao,

I am trying to find a list of music genres (rap, house, techno, folk, etc.) translated into Chinese; I know I've seen them on Cpod before, but I was wondering if someone could provide a link or point me in the right direction, since my attempts at searching this have been fruitless.

 Xiexie.

土豆网 has lots of discussion groups, they're great for reading practice.

A few questions about 土豆 features

Does 挖它 mean "I dig it" as in like it?

And what do 埋掉 and 彩铃 mean?

Hi scotts23,

I love music too, especially classical music, jazz, anime songs, and 邓丽君. Below are the links to web pages that show you some musical terms. I have a copy of 音乐辞典 (Chinese edition), but I forgot to bring the thick dictionary to China with me.

It is also interesting to learn the names of famous composers and musicians in Chinese, such as 肖邦 (Chopin), 莫扎特 (Mozart), 贝多芬 (Beethoven), 海顿 (Haydn), and 德米特里·德米特里耶维奇·肖斯塔科维奇(Dmitry Dmitrievitch Shostakovitch)!

p.s. These Chinese words are “a must”

for buying CDs in China.
