iPhone app list issue

May 14, 2014 at 08:25 AM posted in General DiscussionThe "Self-study" list in the iPhone app has a frustrating quirk. When you scroll through the lessons of a longer queue, when you get to the end it loads the next batch as intended. When you get to the end of the list, scrolling past the "bump" point triggers what appears to be another query for additional lessons (though there aren't any left). It then knocks off the last bunch of displayed lessons from the list. The only way I can see those at the end is to very carefully scroll down and watch for the end without scrolling past the trigger point. Can you fix it?

More notes on the list:
Most important: I discovered that it no longer stores a cached version of your lesson list that is retrievable during offline use. Eeep! I know the subway in Shanghai is great, but here up north I usually can't count on a signal underground.
A minor usability point: The red blocks with white text is at times difficult to read, especially in brighter ambient light. The black text on white in the previous version was a bit clearer. Moreover, the single column list with shorter boxes for each lesson was better suited to a mobile sized screen, and more consistent with the web version dashboard.
Is it possible to bring back that list UI from the previous version? It was a much better experience all around.
