No search bar

This may have been a product of the recent changes to the site and I'm only noticing it now, but why remove the dedicated search bar that was always in the top right of every page? Now I need to go to a dedicating searching page? Major functionality blow...why the regression?

Considering the other problems with the site, this one is relatively minor. It is only one click away, with added advantage that the menu bar no longer scrolls off the top of the screen.

Nevertheless, I have to agree. There has been absolutely no advantage in removing the search bar, and everything that has been done of late seems to be change just for the sake of change.
