Floating the website header

March 29, 2014 at 06:00 PM posted in General DiscussionOne annoyance I have with the website under Chrome is that the ChinesePod header re-sizes when you expand the text in order to more easily read Chinese characters. This re-size behavior greatly reduces the screen space for the lesson content and causes the page to load more slowly. A fix for this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dear dankstern,
I've checked this against our devices and I see what you are saying about the odd resizing of that banner. However, I would suggest that if you are on a mobile device that you try our Android application. This should be more stable on a mobile device than the website. If you have any further issues please feel free to let us know.
Best regards,

I should have added that the behavior of header resizing is in Chrome running on a Samsung Note 10.1 Tablet. The header does not resize on a Windows PC running Chrome.
On the Tablet there are also audio problems with the flashcards in auto mode. Sometimes the audio plays for a card and sometimes it doesn't.

April 11, 2014 at 11:06 PMI use both the app and the website, but I found the website (before the recent changes) to be a fast way to get to the content that I wanted to review. Navigation on the new site is much more cumbersome. In addition the website allows you to resize the screen so that the characters can be more comfortably read.
The app has a lot of features that I appreciate, but it also crashes frequently and has poor navigation.
