New Visual Sucks

March 08, 2014 at 12:08 PM posted in General DiscussionI think I am open-minded about changes, but when something is changed to make things better. With this new visual I cannot find the Newbie lessons as before: simple and effective.
Why change something to a fancy visual if it breaks the logic we are used to? This change brought only trouble and more time trying to find what once was easy.
Please, undo this change or at least leave the users decide if they want the new or the old visual. This is responsability and respect to the users.

Dear User,
We are taking this under advisement. Please be aware that the "lists" view in the Library should give you the view you are looking for.

Oh and when you go to lists page under the drop down it shows lists for Newbie -> Advanced and Media, but none for Qingwen or any of the other culture classes or shows like Dear Amber or Beijing Standard Time. Some of the lessons can be searched in the search box, but not all of them show up and they appear out of order in terms of publication date. So the only option to listen to these are to go through channel view.

Wow the new visual is terrible. Not only do lessons have to be viewed individually now, but it broke the RSS feeds.
My RSS feeds from Self-study are reporting lessons from all levels instead of only the lessons I selected. I get lessons from elementary, upper intermediate, advanced etc. The most recent lesson from elementary Free Parking is showing. Now I have to go to list format and listen to them sequentially instead of it being delivered straight to Itunes.

March 10, 2014 at 07:58 AMCan you at least make the filter option under 'Lists' sortable by publication date? Ah, what am I saying, it's still aweful compared to what you had before. Just revert back to the old way and make peace with your users.
