...I hope someone could tell me the Chinese word for handball. Around these parts of the world it's a pretty popular sport and right now most of Denmark is suffering from handball fever because the men's national team has gone on to the semifinals in the European Championship beating among others the olympic champions from Croazia. Of course the best of all would be an olympic lesson on this sport! :-)

obvious soluton for basketball 篮球, football 足球, but it gets tricky with volleyball 排球 (排 pái as in 'pie') and since we're getting into food, it no longer works with meatballs 肉圆 ròuyuán :-)

Thanks Bazza, sometimes the solution is just too obvious.

By the way, did you know that the world's best female handball player in the year 2002 was a Chinese woman? Her name is Chao Zhai

but she doesn't seem to have a page in mandarin so I don't know the hanzi for her name.
