Hi all SH-based poddies.  A bit wet and blowy yesterday wasn't it!  Hope everyone stayed safe.

I'm flying back to the UK (for good!) on Friday night. Are things expected to calm down a bit by then?

I think they already are mate. I'm sat here in my office basking in sunshine at the moment and no sound of any gales blowing today!

It was wet and blowy, yes. We all stayed home and worked from home yesterday. Kind of drove me crazy to be inside all day and finally at 9pm tried to go out as it seemed to sound calm, but when I got to the gate of my building, nope, no way to go out without getting wet in .0001 nanoseconds (yes, exactly that long)

I made the mistake of coming to the office. Fine getting in (I'm usually in before 7am and the storm hadn't picked up by then). However, finding a taxi last night was nigh on impossible. Think I waited over 90mins until one came.... Still, it was an interesting experience being next to the window on 32F right on the Bund - very noisy! Lots of waves on the river as well.
