genitals-- and bad words

July 03, 2011 at 01:31 AM posted in General DiscussionI remember growing up, all you had to do was refer to somebody as some aspect of the -general genital area- and -poof- you could be mean to them.
Is it like that in china too? never heard of it, (though I don't get out much, or watch TV.) 'yin1nang' or 'gaowan', 'yindao' or.. shoot how do you say penis... uh, can you fill me in on that one...
anyways, what's the cultural situation on this? if I go around and start referring to people as 'yin1nang', I mean.. what's going to be the general reaction ? will they be more puzzled that insulted, maybe assuming that I actually mean to say something else...
oh my goodness... I can say things like 'gaowan' in mid-sentence by accident...!!>!>!!>!>!>!>!!!!

Why don't you ignore my posts. I post here because it usually makes me laugh inbetween lessons. You seem to do it... because you're friends with everybody here? more than strangers, right?

Do you even study Chinese? I have never seen you write Chinese, or really even talk about Chinese for that matter.
I don't know, I suppose I could be like everyone else and just ignore your ramblings and constant snide remarks about John, Jenny, and Cpod in general, but I find it really annoying.
Your English is already really good. Maybe you could attempt babbling in Chinese? That way, perhaps there might be some hidden value in your posts.

BTW, is that really your photo? On seeing your nose, I understand your fascination with this topic.
