徐洲： 今天的对话很有意思因为我觉得啊说话【了人啊】，他其实是一种在说书这种感觉
Connie： 那里面的【用于呢跟】我们平时说话的日常会话也不太一样
徐洲： 啊，【首位/煞尾】有点不一样
Connie： 嗯，有点书面语而且有点【文叶文】的味道
徐洲：诶，就说这个第一个词啊“话说”
Connie： “话说”我们一听了这两个词呢，就知道要开始说故事了
徐洲： 这是一般在故事前面都会这个“话说”什么什么什么
Connie： 嗯
徐洲： 那么我们今天故事开头也是”话说唐玄奘自东土大唐一路西行求取真经“

徐洲：结果犯了错事，然后被贬下界。
Connie：他的形象很丑陋啊。
徐洲：啊
Connie：是一只猪，叫猪八戒。
徐洲：哎，其实，有时候我们也会听到有人叫猪悟能。
Connie：嗯，悟能。前面我们说到悟空，这个悟能呢，都是他妈的法号。
徐洲：法号。因为其实是和那个佛教是有关系的，对吧。
Connie：因为他们是同一个被封辈分的，所以中间都有一个“悟”。
徐洲：那么悟空，悟能，后面还有一个悟净。
Connie：嗯，这是沙悟净。

"【孙】- It must be, though it doesn't make sense"
...exactly. I couldn't work that out. I thought they were trying to say he's sometimes called something different to 孙悟空 but then when they said what that was it pretty much sounded the same. I was wondering if there was some slight pronunciation variation on the 孙 bit.

【孙】- It must be, though it doesn't make sense. I wonder if they meant to say that sometimes he's called 悟空 and sometimes 孙悟空。

『孙』- Thanks for spotting. That was a cut and paste job gone wrong.
Connie【2】：I think you're right. I'd go for 那个
人物是相当多的 - I think he's just saying this novel has quite a lot of characters in it.

What do you reckon David means by this?:
人物是相当多的
..there are more characters, or the characters are considerably more than meets the eye [like they're more powerful or whatever]?..or some other interpretation
I guess he's saying that there are more characters in this CPod version than in the original xiyouji?...as it follows on from Connies 介绍 of this other character
Connie[last line}: no 徐洲。。。once again, realise it's just a typo

Connie【2】： 嗯，那白骨精呢，是里面『那/内』个妖怪 ...but maybe you're right ..thought I could hear a nei in there but maybe the "n" sound is coming from the end of mian, and maybe the "is coming from "de+yi"

oh, thanks mate. That makes much more sense...I had it following on from the preceding bit rather than the following bit. The old forest/ trees problem.

I think the 因为 goes with the bit after. I read it as something like "Because it's as pretty long story, ... we're just going to cover a small part of it today."

相当长。。I can hear that now. So what's David saying here?...this bit to me suggests that it's a considerably long story...or it's equivalent to a long story. I don't know why he'd say 因为 here...is he distinguishing it as a long story instead of a myth? Just not clear how it follows on from the preceding bit.

I knew I should have know that first one 带给...I'm sure you've told me that before and I think it is frequently said at the start. I'm thinking I'll remember this time.
oh 鼎鼎...never heard that one before but it makes sense...good pickup
虚构...didn't know that word either. Funny thing was I thought that first syllable was xu when I first listened to it and then when I listened just to it without a runup I thought it was chu. Anyhow, good pickup mate. I can't hear the 的 in 虚构的人物 though.
神话..I should've got that one as I thought of 神 but I didn't put 2 and 2 together.
