"The power of music and poetry

 I was thinking today how powerful music and poetry are in our lives. Just to hear a song can immediately take you to a place or a time in the past. How strange that in difficult times we choose to express our grief through poetry. Who would have thought we would turn to poetry ?"

 I have had a try myself first but I would like to know the correct way to express these ideas.
