In China, eating hotpot alone used to be quite uncommon.

Dànshì xiànzài, yuè lái yuè duō de cāntīng tuīchū "yì rén shí" xiǎo huǒguō, zhuānmén wèi dānshēn de kèrén shèjì.
But now, more and more restaurants are launching "one-person dining" mini-hotpots, designed specifically for single customers.

Shùjù xiǎnshì, Zhōngguó de dānshēn rénkǒu yǐjīng chāoguò liǎng yì sì qiān wàn, chàbuduō zhàn chéngnián rénkǒu de wǔ fēn zhī yī.
Data shows that China's single population has already exceeded 240 million, roughly a fifth of the adult population.
