Last week I had a Chinese test and today I found out that I didn’t pass.
我很失望，因为我下了很大功夫。
wǒ hěn shīwàng ， yīnwèi wǒ xià le hěn dà gōngfu 。
I’m very disappointed because I put a lot of effort into it.
我花了很多时间在图书馆里学习，做了很多题目，还和同学一起练习，可能我在考试的时候太紧张了。
wǒ huā le hěn duō shíjiān zài túshūguǎn lǐ xuéxí ， zuò le hěn duō tímù ， hái hé tóngxué yīqǐ liànxí ， kěnéng wǒ zài kǎoshì de shíhòu tài jǐnzhāng le 。
I spent a lot of time studying in the library, working on lots of exercises, and practicing with classmates. Maybe I was too nervous when I took the exam.
