September 3, 2013 at 2:00 PMGoing to the hospital in China is so odd.. the one I went to in Taizhou was very busy and a bit dirty. You have pay tills everywhere which is odd (coming from the UK where we have free medical care), people get given drips for colds and everything is in such demand. I remember people fighting for places in the queue to pay, all pushing each other and then going to see the doctor was like a competition! I sat there with around 10 other people trying to compete for his attention. My wife explained what was wrong with me in Chinese whilst they all looked on in amazement that I was simply not Chinese… this is all in a big city (Taizhou) by the way! Anyone else got any stories?! Good lesson John & Dilu.

September 3, 2013 at 7:32 AMStill a bit of a high-brow translation ;)!.. if I said that word most people wouldn't understand it without looking it up. I think the word 'terrible' would be better. However, understand the difficulties. Thanks for clarifying and helping me to understand this better.
