July 30, 2010 at 7:54 PMOh, I asked for a Qing Wen on this the other day! The dialogue has:
哪种好喝?
What would be the difference between 哪 and 怎样 here?

July 30, 2010 at 7:47 PMI'd use "sports car" personally. But a kid might call it a "race car", I guess? :-p

July 29, 2010 at 1:25 PMI've contacted tech support on this issue (for example in the lesson suggestion thread, the selector only shows pages 1-6, but the thread itself is onto page 8). Got a reply from Peter:
Hi Steve,
Thank you for informing us of this technical error on our website. I have forwarded your email to our tech team and will try to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
Thank you for your comments and we appreciate your continuing support.
Best regards,
Peter

July 27, 2010 at 11:03 AMbyronmeinerth, it's very possible on the Internet to read emotions and intentions into people's words that simply aren't there. Text can be very deceptive.
I don't see any aggression in go_manly's posts. Perhaps you need to take a step back and read it all again in a different tone of voice. Certainly I read your own posts as a lot less civil than his.

July 31, 2010 at 5:15 PMHmn. But the reason I noted it is because I encountered this sentence in one of the diary lessons (in expanded vocab):
你喜欢跟怎样的人做朋友?
Nǐ xǐhuan gēn zěnyàng de rén zuò péngyǒu?
What kind of person do you like to be friends with?
There 怎样 is used to mean "what kind of"?
