Hmn. But the reason I noted it is because I encountered this sentence in one of the diary lessons (in expanded vocab):

你喜欢跟怎样的人做朋友？

Nǐ xǐhuan gēn zěnyàng de rén zuò péngyǒu?

What kind of person do you like to be friends with?

There 怎样 is used to mean "what kind of"?

Oh, I asked for a Qing Wen on this the other day! The dialogue has:

哪种好喝?

What would be the difference between 哪 and 怎样 here?

I'd use "sports car" personally. But a kid might call it a "race car", I guess? :-p

byronmeinerth, it's very possible on the Internet to read emotions and intentions into people's words that simply aren't there. Text can be very deceptive.

I don't see any aggression in go_manly's posts. Perhaps you need to take a step back and read it all again in a different tone of voice. Certainly I read your own posts as a lot less civil than his.
