Never lost anything in China fortunately, but if I did, I would have just used "報失"  ( in dodgy Cantonese accent :) ) like we do in Hong Kong.  Would that be understood?

武装分子 is actually better translated as "insurgent"

To my Hong Kong ears 好好照顾自己 also bit of farewell and finality.  That line is used in a lot in corny soap operas i.e. when a rejected man wishes a former g/f and her new husband well in a new life as they prepare to immigrate to Australia... haha
