我有个问题想问一下: 在这个对话里, 你们用过那个'说服' 的单词...ok...我的问题是这样， 据我所知在中文所有的词典里这个'说服'的词和它的名词: '说服力' 是 'shoufu' 拼音出来的。cpod对话里的解释也是这样。这样的拼音我也看过很多次，可是真让我觉得疑惑不解， 因为我每一次听说中国人说出来这个词汇的时候， 他们老是说的是‘shuifu' 和 'shuifuli'. 这个我了解因为这个"说"的字，当然是多音字。 shui的 声音也有的，而且这个声音的定义好象更有 "convince" 的意思。可是我还有一点儿糊涂。。。你要说convince 或者 powever of conincing 的时候，你到底怎么说出来？你应该用哪一个说法来表示这个意思啊？在这里有人知道吗？ 目前我还在用shuifu的方法。对不对？

Question: I always thought pronunciation for the word "to disect" 解剖 was jie3pou1... In leason sounds line both Jenny and John say jie3pao1???

Hi John nice to meet you at the airport the other day and good lesson hadn't seen that 冤家路窄 in a long time, cracks me up. I'll shoot you an email when I get a chance, again thanks for the great work here at Chinesepod, your Chinese is really good and its always good to see there is a group out there who never called it quits to the language and are learning (and in your case teaching) for the long term. Question.. I always have be confused by 下载 "to download." In some dictionaries and texts is 4th tone/4th tone. In some 4tone3tone. When you ask the Chinese they will always say yes yes its 4/4 and then you show dictionary and they say oh yeh 4/3. When they say it themselves its always 4/4 but then ocassionally you hear what sounds like a 4/3. And then when I am finally set on just saying its 4/4 which I also have a dictionary that lists this, I see the podcast here has it at 4/3, and what sounds like 4/3 in the reading. The character 载 has several uses and it exists under both tones, but what in Gods name finally is its tone in the word to download, it seems Chinese don't even agree on this!??
