  First line can be like this:--- 下个星期以后，我的放假开始 ---From next week my holidays will start.

积 ( ji ) has meaning such as --accumulate,amass, store up.

Here is a quotation:-- 积 少 成 多 meaning "many a little make

a mickle ".

It is also used with other words like ---积 (ji1) 累(lei3)---meaning

accumulation or accumulate. Example-- 积 累 经 验 =meaning--

accumulate experience

But 加 means to "add up, increase ( production ), plus,augment"

I think “ 由于 ------------ 原因 ” is an idiomatic expresion.

A similar example is :--” 由 于 健 康 原 因 ” meaning

“ on health grounds "

In the above sentence '有“ gives an idea of past tense--- that is, had gone on tour. Perhaps using “有去了” would be more emphatic of past action.

I am not able to make out the character ( 汉字） after " 旅 ". I will be thankful for the clarification. Therapist

Sexist --is a Noun and an Adjective --- The simple vocabulry is 性别者

( xing bie zhe )

Sexiest---is an Adjective--vocabulary is--性感的 （xing gan de )

As regards " general" :-

I think we can say --普遍的 ，or evev 全面的

The vocabulary 笼统 can also be used for " general". But

long tong ( 笼统 ） also means ' vague ". I feel the context of

using the correct vocabulary is to be taken into consideration.

Regarding :--" I have lived in Shanghai for nine months",

I think this statement means that the person has already stayed 9 months in Shanghai sometime back,

I think we can as well say:--我在上海住过了九个月。
