I want to witness that the Executive plan really fits me well and should fit most of busy managers but not only. 10mn / day actually makes almost of 1h/week of 'pure' chinese conversation. I have tested quite a few methods, this is from far the most efficient & flexible way; in this world where mobility becomes the norm, it's very comfortable,it also saves you at least 40mn in transport compared to usual class.
Daily practice added to the profesionalism, tact & understanding of the counselor also allow a very important phenomena : It quickly brings you confidence. When I don't know a word, I just say it in english to keep the conversation fluid and because I know the sweet Helen will rephrase it correctly in chinese afterwards.Every day, Helen also send me a recap of the difficulties I met; this is very helpful and I really appreciate it. Consequently after 5weeks I already noticed dramatic improvements in my ability to make my own sentences.
I think the person willing to follow the executive plan should also plan between 30mn to 50mn every day to work on new vocab & prepare the next lesson; it is enough to quickly improve speaking & reading ability. More time is needed for the writing of course.
Although not manadatory, I also recommend the use of Iphone for people willing to review on the go, this is a very good complementary tool (podcasts, CP app.) that I think will benefit to the public targetted by the Executive plan.
Thanks again for the work done these past years. Chinesepod clearly helped me to move forward with my professional & personal projects and settling in China.
