July 21, 2015, 11:29 PMI don't intend to change your last name, just wondering why you did not choose 司徒, another double chinese last name (雙姓), which is not that uncommon, pronounciation is seemingly closer to Stout if that is indeed your last name.

I was born in China and grew up in Taiwan, I can say I have used them equally. 演讲，演說 are more serious with a podium, 你們在説(讲)些什麼，both are fine。Give a talk is informal, give a speech is formal. Same with talk a talk, speak a speech.
