For anyone else unfamiliar with that phrase, the Collins dictionary defines it this way: "to know who to be nice to and what to do in order to get an advantage for yourself." Yet, Fiona and Constance's explanation of 饮水思源 seems a bit different. If I understood correctly, it is, to keep humble by remembering where (who) you came from. Is that it?
