about oboes and such: isn't the basson also a kind of shuānghuángguǎn? If so, how are they distinguished?

(xiǎo shuānghuángguǎn vs. dà shuānghuángguǎn, perhaps??)

Very interesting! Though it seems the judges/presentator are making up the rules as they go along, don't they?

My question: what is "to play the oboe" in Chinese? (I do, so I wonder how to tell people :) )

The ü sound is native to Dutch. Can't understand what's so difficult about it :)
