Thanks so much for your support. The whole point of CPod is to accomodate different learning styles and habits.

I am primarily a visual learner, and it takes a lot of repitition for things to sink in for me. But we encourage our poddies to try all different styles.

I will be focusing mainly on the advanced and media lessons. But I will also monitor all the boards, paying special attention to translation issues.

I look forward to questions, suggestions and comments from all my new friends.

轻重 qing1zhong4 refers to weight or seriousness. One of the cool things about Chinese is that you can combine two antonyms to create a word that describes the "middle ground" between them. For example,

• 多少 duo1shao3 means "how much,"
  
• 长短 chang2duan3 means "length,"
  
• 大小da4xiao3 means "size", etc

Can our poddies think of others?

压力 means pressure in the sense of pressing down on something. FYI, 电压dian4ya1 means "voltage," the idea of the pushing power of an electrical current.
