Hi,

The A/C units I've seen mostly heat and cool the room. The temperature settings are usually from 16-32 degrees C.

mrzhou,

The system for large numbers in Chinese as you described, is actually correct. As a reply to andygxp up there, the 4 zero base is actually the correct scale for Chinese language.

A few notable examples are:

1-0000 (one 10K)

10-0000 (ten 10K/ 100K)

100-0000 (100 10K/ 1 million)

and so on...

So, the usage of the "long scale/short scale" stuff is worth forgetting, from what I have seen and learned.

Yes, it does exist. Milo is not exactly coffee; rather, in China and where I come from, it's actually a malt-based chocolate milk drink.

Hi hanks,

The neutral toned 'le' is likely used on phrases in the past tense, so probably they are alternatives.

I don't know exactly if this is correct, it's only from my meager repertoire of chinese words.

你好,can 早上 和下午 be used, 'cause I want to know if "What will we be eating for lunch/breakfast?" is pretty much the same in form as used in the dialogue.
