John,

This is a great idea and looks to be an invaluable learning resource.  Any plans to make it available in traditional characters?

In the expansion exercises:

北京出差顺便看看
(I came to Beijing on a business trip, and visited you while I was at it.)

The translation indicates past tense, that is, the visit has already taken place.  It seems to me that the Chinese is actually in present tense as it does not contain .  Is that right?

北京出差顺便看看

I'm coming to Beijing on a business trip and visiting you while I'm at it.

vs.

北京出差顺便看看(了?)

What is the mag-lev train called Chinese?  (The train high speed train from the Shanghai airport that Ken mentioned in the lesson.)

The supplementary vocab had:

醫生 yīshēng Doctor

護士 hùshì Nurse

Surprisingly, no mention of "pharmacist" - 藥劑師 yàojìshī

Are 藥劑師uncommon in China?

Anyone else not able to see the Dialogue due to default set-up to Traditional characters?  I can see the dialogue if I click to simplified.  Interestingly, I can see the characters in the Vocabulary tab without having to switch to simplified.  This seems to be an issue for both Shanghainese lessons.

Pete,

Thanks for another great show in the series.  I've learned so much from your program and the participation of fellow poetry-loving Poddies.  I never imagined I would ever develop any sort of appreciation for Classical Chinese poetry but you are definitely making it possible.

Great lesson!  I really enjoyed listening to Connie's recital of the poem and Pete's deconstruction.  Looking forward to the next poem.
