So how come there's no volume control on the media player on the website?  I was trying to have some background music in the background while I listened to Chinesepod, but Chinesepod is too loud! If I set the sound lower on my computer, then I can't hear my music.  :-(

I'm am currently studying Chinese medicine.  (I've been studying it for the last five years)

This lesson is really handy.  I'm going to Chengdu to intern at Zhong1 yi1 fu4 yuan4.

Hopefully I can figure out how to type the characters onto the computer rather than searching for it in a dictionary and then copying and pasting it.

In the expansion exercises when it says, "Let me first introduce myself" 我先介绍一下我自己。. I distincly hear jǐe instead of jǐ.  Is this a local dialect?

Why is  小  in a lesson on the fourth tone?

The way I learned to use tones properly was through a program that showed the pitch of the native speaker on a monitor and I then had to speak into a microphone to see if my pitched matched.  If it wasn't right, I would have to reapeat it until the computer said my tone was correct.  Maybe Chinesepod could have something like that using a flash player or something.
