Of course, you can "change your job" or "change your girlfriend". It is normal English.

I agree.  It is certainly normal to say "I have changed jobs" in British English.

I think Liliana's English is perfectly acceptable.  After all, I haven't subscribed to Chinesepod to learn English!  However, I would like to hear her speak some Chinese (like Amber, Clay, JP and Pete did).  I don't find her banter with John particularly interesting or educational, but that is just a matter of personal taste.

No big deal.  Liliana and John are doing fine together and Qing Wen is still a very useful programme.
