February 25, 2011 at 6:55 AMCool lesson !! I enjoyed listening to it. I have two questions though:
When DiLu mentioned "xianxiang" (I think), at the end of the lesson , and John said "phenomenon" , is that word 现象 ?
Also, at the end of the lesson, DiLu used to word 普遍 to express how common it is for women to hold off on telling men they're married. My question is, what is the difference in usage for the 普遍 and 普通 ？

can Bali island also be written 峇里岛 ？I think I saw it written this way once

February 22, 2011 at 8:21 PMI recently learnt the word 履历表 (resume), but in the dialogue the word for "resume" is 简历 。 The people who taught me 履历表 are Taiwanese, so perhaps this may be a regional word usage difference ? Do mainland Chinese ever say 履历表 instead of 简历， or is 简历 the only word for resume for mainlanders ?

Two thumbs down for the comedy side. The jokes/humor seemed overly forced and awkward. I thought I heard crickets when the regret pill nonsense came up.
I still gave this lesson 5 stars, above
