Also Mike, I completely agree with you about incredible claims and the main reason I started to learn Chinese was to be able to learn in china, speak to patients myself, and see it work for myself. I can't accept something as ultimate truth and need to witness it myself. I went in optimistically skeptical but left wholeheartedly satisfied.

Oh sorry Mike I misunderstood.

The doctors name is dr. Daniel Keown and he practices in Tunbridge Wells.

If you do end up seeing him, I'd love to hear your feedback.

Best

Hi mike, actually I am a TCM practitioner in canada. I have been in practice for 12 years now (after 6 years of study) and essentially I don't think I'd still be in business with a thriving practice if the medicine didn't work. While of course it doesn't treat everything, the stuff it does, it does well.

I have spent extensive periods of time in china studying with numerous doctors and I can tell you straight up that the results were for the most part incredible.

Hope that helps.

Hopefully this will help, there's a whole slew of links to TCM/Acupuncture research carried out throughout the world.

Also, I'd highly recommend this book.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Spark-Machine-Acupuncture-Mysteries/dp/1848191960

it's written by an MD in the UK that is also a practicing TCM practitioner.  He gives a very detailed, 'scientific' account of what is happening with Acupuncture on a neuro-physiological level, and lays out the 'science' of Acupuncture and TCM in a very clear way.

Acupuncture is called 针灸 (zhen jiu), which actually means Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

A quick explanation on the differences between 离 and 从 would be really helpful.

Thanks.
