November 15, 2008 at 7:46 AMi know lots of guys who swear by Great Wall 98'
apparently a good vintage
the problem with that is, can u trust the bottles in shops labelled 98' are actually from 1998?
I would think it's quite difficult to track down a genuine bottle of great wall 98'
In terms of cost, there's no reason why china shouldn't be able to produce decent wines for 30 or 40 yuan, with a reliable quality
as South American and European countries can produce wines costing 2 - 5 euros that taste fine.
it's just bad producing techniques, and is another example of poor food safety in China
Also, for that money consumers should expect reliable quality. Restaurants should be more responsible for the wines they sell.
If i get a corked bottle in a restaurant in China, i will demand another bottle, and so should you.
i live in Xinjiang, which is very very good wine country.
Suntime make good wines from about 36 yuan to 60

November 15, 2008 at 6:32 AMi was the VIP at a hairy crab festival to celebrate
the opening of hairy crab season, in sihong, north jaingsu, once upon a time.
it was pretty embarrassing to see myself on TV
later that evening making an almighty mess trying
to open that crab, and drinking down huge classes of baijiu with a fake smile
