早上没吃早饭所以妈妈让我带上一个面包

Yeah as a whole I suppose "told" would fit best right? Like you mentioned, thanks again.

how would this translate into English (let me, made me or told me):

"妈妈让我带上一个面包"

māma ràng wǒ dàishang yīgè miànbāo

can you say “我今天带了饭“？ or is 带饭 a verb in itself?

does "开了" imply it was already on before he asked or do you have to say "我已经开了"?
