@Changye:LOL Actually I am on my way do to the first "test". Have to show that I have arms and eye's (no joke!). Honestly, I'm scared to death, but I haven't been driving in 2 years and really need to start again :-). On the bright side: after my special 骂人  (ma4ren2 / "advanced negotiating") class I will be just fine haha!

'09, was also a good year for me language wise: quite improved listening and speaking, but in '10 need to focus more on reading and writing. So my resolutions: pass the HSK Int and move to CPod Advanced! (Besides this: I want to get my Chinese driving license :-)).

@A1p2,

如果她还不知道:现在她可以买在"麦德龙"(mai3de2long2, Metro)或者定货(ding4huo4, order)在"云中食品店" ( yun2zhong1shi2 pin3dian4, Skyway'sBakery ) :-).

@bodawei, actually duvet (and doona) both are new words for me. In Dutch we say "dekbed" lit. "cover bed". In the past I used the words quilt or blanket I guess, but both are incorrect. So this was a very useful lesson! Btw. bedspread = sprei (almost pronounced the same as "sprea").

When my husband arrived in China for the first time (alone, house had no heating and was one of the coldest winters in a century) the driver suggested to buy this (good pick :-) ). Think the Chinese are very smart to put in silk filling, it is really 很舒服 (hen3shu1fu5)!

@Changye: come to Nanjing for dinner, know a guy here  from Napoli who makes the best pizza I had in China! :-P

The silk filled duvet is something I discovered in China :-) Cool in summer, warm in winter!

@tarsi thank you for your response, so if I understand your answer correctly: one can schedule the lessons as one pleases? If one subscribes to 12 months of Executive (70 mins a week) and you do 3 lessons 2*20 + 1*10 (50 mins) a week, will the program last  appr. 15.5 months then? Or how does the customisation actually work?

Sfrrr,

Was thinking about the same thing! I want to take an executive subscription, but think with my sometimes busy schedule 10 mins a day might still be difficult.

Would be nice if one can arrange like 2* 20 and 1*10 mins and organize the lessons yourself and pay accordingly.

Think there is a small typo in pdf: should be 5 weeks in stead of 5 months?

@Bodawei, Exactly, they are expensive. My ayi used to turn off all the heaters in the room where she worked (which I had turned on for her before so she would not get cold). Same with my new ayi, she never turns on the heating. Different mindset I guess. Heat I can handle, but cold....However I only wear 2 layers of clothing compared to 4+

Something else related to cold: she always said, put on your shoes or slippers (I often forget), the cold is bad for you health and especially knees... I am used to walk barefoot in the house even on stone tiles in the winter... this is a Chinese faux pas!
