Now we do not have the capacity to tag conversations I cannot link to this lesson - is there any way that ChinesePod can tag it?  

Why were tags taken away??  (I forget the no doubt wonderful reason).  It is a pain in the arse.

No - it works fine. But I am curious; why do you use this feature when you can just click on the lesson link and it plays straight away. When you click the red arrow you have to wait for it to load. (I have never understood why this red arrow is so prominent - it is a less convenient way to listen.)

If you go the Lesson Transcript PDF, the bottom of each page has a 'text version' - you can copy this into Word and delete the pinyin (and the English translation). Okay, you can also do that straight from the PDF but I like the format of the text version for reading - it looks more like normal printed text.

I don't know if there is an easier way - someone will jump in to assist no doubt.

Nice observation Baba - I think you might be right. Only because I remember such a discussion of this time system in the back recesses of my mind. I have nothing to add because it was fairly difficult to accommodate the first time I heard it.

Note sure why your post uses the word 'several' on two occasions - my comment was: 'your blurb says that you have lived in China for a couple of years' - I thought that was a reasonable assumption in context (that you were here teaching in various places. I did not occur to me that it was a flying visit - nice work if you can get it!

So - no big deal but I was concerned that you were escalating this a bit, as though I was exaggerating your original statement. In fact my comment is quite consistent with your blurb - but I can see now that it can also be read as you say. A bit ambiguous I guess.

Anyway - referring to 1988 as more than 20 years ago, wow how time flies.

Cheers, and good luck with the language learning. You seem to have got lots of help here (but nothing from a native speaker!)

Sorry I missed this and now I have another look I see I wrote it wrong.

It should be: 人让车 、是 A让B structure，A等，B先走， 所以 人等，车先走。 (Pedestrians wait, cars go first. Naturally.) :)

车让车 has that 'Claude and Eustace' feel about it I referred to above. First one then the other (which one goes first is largely up to chance, but the sign encourages people to be co-operative.)

My apologies for the '李师 ain't Dino' comment - I had a discussion with her on the N&F board about names and she didn't mention Dino, and I missed the reference in the broadcast.

'Dino' brings to mind Dean Martin - 李师 ain't Dino. :) Puzzling, n and o are not easily mistaken for l and u on the keyboard.

That is a great question. Chinese writing is full of puns, they love 'catchy'. However, if ChinesePod tried this in Chinese, they would need a whole lesson to explain the title - wouldn't work at Elementary level.
