February 01, 2012, 04:58 AMI heard this recently too. My take is its a play between Chinese "tài tai", and English phrase "boy toy" (guy rhymes better than boy to go with "tài" and "tài" sounds a little like "toy") and makes it "cuter" :-D
My husband is a trailing spouse so we had some discussion about it!

January 17, 2012, 03:42 AMin the dialogue it says, "wǒ xǐhuān hé péngyou chūqù". could you also say " wǒ hé wǒ péngyǒu xǐhuān chūqù"?

March 13, 2012, 10:56 AMI really like the lesson and the use of visuals. There is all kinds of "self-created practice" that one can do using the map. Is it possible to inlcude the map in the PDF? I download everything onto my iPad and used it as I listen to podcasts off line. Right now, the only way to access the visual is "on-line". It also would be easier to print it if it was a part of the PDF.
