my beijing wife said 我无所谓 wǒ wú suǒ wèi is not something to say to anyone you respect.
so i guess its one of those lines that depending on where its used, depends the context.
this line was used on one of my favorite podcasts instant noodles.

thats exactly what i meant, i was afraid i didnt phrase my post correctly. its the small talk that Connie does on the side that Amber would normally translate which i found extremley helpful.

it sounds nothing like my name and i think it is going to take some getting used to.
is this a common given name?
