June 18, 2013 at 9:27 AMDidn't look at your profile [many never put any info in there]. I make spelling and grammar mistakes too. I just genuinely wasn't sure for a sec as there were a few in a row, wondered if I'd presumed wrongly and thought that would explain where you were coming from. There have been others with high levels of English in the past that I had initially presumed were native English speakers, only for it to be revealed later that they weren't. Language barriers are a common source of misunderstanding.
Anyhow mate, despite that I have just tried to defend the PG rating I perceived you to be dissing, believe in protecting kids, and at the same time have tried to keep things civil, I'll happily ignore your name calling, put it behind me, and hopefully meet on friendlier terms on the boards in future. All the best with your studies :)

June 18, 2013 at 9:22 AM"I think that "parental guidance" has not been used before, right ?"
....actually I'm pretty sure there were some months ago with that rating. Also, prior to this being implemented as a tag, the occasional lesson has had a verbal PG13 warning at the start of the lesson

June 18, 2013 at 6:59 AMActually, I must confess that as your English is so good that I was presuming you were a native English speaker, but a few minor errors make me now wonder if I've got this wrong and this is why you need an explanation....so sorry if I've jumped to the wrong conclusion. Still, at the same time, your English is so good that I'm still wondering at you having trouble with the two words " parental guidance" ....anyhow, hopefully my comment above has fleshed it out enough.

June 18, 2013 at 6:50 AMnot attacking, just defending a very minor thing CPod put in place that I think is important to some.
"I just think the maturity rating should be explained by Chinesepod"
...what's to explain? I don't see the need to complicate this. Surely you've struck PG when it comes to movies etc. Do you question that too ? Are they not just basically saying that the podcast [which I haven't even had a chance to listen to yet ] has material in it which some parents, perhaps only a few, may feel is either inappropriate for their children to be exposed to, may need to be considered before exposing their kids to, or may need to be accompanied by a discussion. In other words, leaving it to the discression of parents to make their own call on it....parental guidance.
Also, I don't believe I did put words in your mouth as I never said that you said those things, just questioned if it was worth making a big deal of it, and that I could see no harm in adding it as I couldn't see that it was going to inconvenience those who didn't see it as necessary.

June 18, 2013 at 6:27 AMwell there have been requests for pg warnings by users occasionally over the years, there are likely a multitude of belief systems amongst users, and CPod has shown the respect for those views to put in such a simple and minor thing in place, and it's difficult to see how it inconveniences or has the need to be called into question by those who don't share those belief systems.

June 18, 2013 at 4:49 AM"I didn't Chinesepod had too many users that are younger than 18"
why would you make such a presumption? ...and what if it is just a small minority....are they not to be taken into consideration? is putting a rating on it really such a big deal ?
