if we look at the structure of the chaoyang characters they are both verticle left and verticle right...which would give us 11:11pm...making them 19minutes late.

well if it's just the hour and we take the 5 in wu and the 18 we get out of mu =23....2300 hours is 11pm..traditionally the start of the new day in Chinese tradition...so they're already 1/2 hour late for the bust

haha, this of course makes me feel worse...yeah...the solutions usually are pretty simple to riddles...gonna feel like a dill when it ends up being really simple...zhen diulian, hehe

I doubt this, but could it be the unicode numbers for the characters that give us the time?

eg chaoyang...chao is 6710 and yang is 9633

I'm wondering if any of us have even lucked onto the correct time but for the wrong reason?...not that that is going to help much I guess...and if so, you can tell us that this is the case but not which time it was

btw I just love the sound effects in this series, perhaps especially the ominous donging of the bell at the end of the dialogue...so so good.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but there are so many directions we can take this that I think it's time we had a little guidance as to if we're on the right track with any of this in regards to the time.

of course shi in shimao refers to time.....

..that mao has 14 strokes...2 after 12...12:02am

but this doesn't incorporate yang
