The context in the lesson being 骑车 ride a bicycle ( and not ride a bus ) 坐车 take the bus ( and not take the bicycle)!

Nadal is left handed and you can see quite easily that in tennis it is a big advantage; in all those games that go to deuce the winning point for the server is from his big left hand side where he can slice the ball way off into the spectators. Left handers can get the upper hand in baseball too, I am told.

Hi toianw

Don't worry, I am not confused. Just part of getting a clearer picture of life in China when you don't live there. Thanks.

And then I go and see that the notes have been made already under dialogue. Way to go!

Shame on me, but this is the first time I have listened to qing wen. Thought it was great. Going to subscribe to these now and check out the rest of them. It feels I should be taking notes so that I can integrate this into the bigger picture.

Thanks!

Hi MTGG

I think you will find that mei 没 or mei you 没有would give the phrase the meaning of Why didn't you call me (you said you would).

但是,我不是内行。

Hi toianw

Thanks for that! I've been learning Chinese all this time and have only just worked it out that it is a six working day week in China. It's probably even more complicated than that.

Sorry to be such a bore asking such a pedantic question but 26 September 2010 is a Sunday and 9 October 2010 is a Saturday yet somehow these refer in the same way to weekends in the dialogue. How does that work?

A quick comment giving some feedback on the lesson exercises and expansion sections:

In the exercises the sentence reordering section does not work at all and in the multiple choice section question 3 has two good answers, a and d, but only one of these is accepted by the engine.

In the expansion section the voice over recordings start to fail towards the end of the section. I would say nearly half are missing.

Thanks!
